We collect data about incomplete orders to send a one-time reminder via email to prevent someone else from claiming the domain name you wanted.
We also store when and about what we have contacted you, for example when you ask our customer service a question. If you use our helpdesk, we have your contact information and can save the content of the conversations to serve you better in the future and to improve our own provision of information.
In addition to the personal data you provide to Yourname yourself, Yourname may collect, register and process additional personal data about your use of our services and website(s). If you use our transfer service, we request the necessary details to log in to your (S)FTP server. We delete this data after the transfer is completed.

The response (if you open it or click on a link) to our emails is also recorded at an individual level.
In some cases, personal data may be combined by Yourname with information from external sources (such as demographic and geographic segments). Based on all that data, we can serve you better and tailor the content of our services to your preferences. If you do not want this, read in paragraph 5 how you can object.
3. Why does Yourname collect personal data?
Yourname processes personal data to deliver our services. We store data in order to provide the service, create an account, invoice you, and to communicate with you as part of that service. We also need your data when handling questions, complaints, and refunds. When you place an order, we create a unique quote and invoice number that is linked to your account.
Yourname stores your IP address so you can see which IP address logged in to your account or changes have been made.
If you visit our site, place an order, or like us, we will remember what you need. We do the searching and help you with great offers, for example by email. We also use your data to improve our sites. And to show useful ads, for example on Facebook and Instagram. You can read more about this under the heading 'cookies'.
4. Your personal data and third parties
Yourname never sells your personal data to third parties. However, we do share personal data within partnerships if necessary to deliver the service you requested. We also use systems or services from suppliers, where it is possible that the supplier also has access to data from our customers. Some of our suppliers are located outside the EU. In all cases, we ensure that these parties provide sufficient guarantees in the field of privacy protection and security. We have contractually agreed on proper privacy protection with these suppliers (processing agreement) and work with the European model contract.
For a request, allocation, and possible use of a domain name, Yourname acts as an intermediary. Your request is forwarded to registering authorities, such as the Stichting Internet Domeinregistratie Nederland (SIDN), which is for .nl domain names. That authority decides on the granting of a domain name. To enable registration, Yourname transmits your application data to these authorities.
